An elderly woman was struck and killed by a flatbed truck in Lynn, Massachusetts, on Friday morning.
Lynn police said the call came in around 6:20 a.m. for a reported pedestrian crash on North Common Street. Responding officers found a victim suffering from injuries.

The Essex District Attorney's Office confirmed Friday afternoon that a 78-year-old woman died at the scene after being hit by a Dodge flatbed truck. Her name is not expected to be released until family members have been notified.
Lynn police, state police and the chief medical examiner's officer are investigating the crash, the district attorney's office said.
