Charlestown High School in Boston was placed on lockdown over a report of a person with a gun, Boston police said Tuesday.
Police said they caught up with a person matching the description near the school, but no one was arrested, no injuries were reported and no weapon was found.
The initial call came in around 2:13 p.m., police said.
Officers continue to investigate the incident, which was reported as a person with a gun on Old Ironsides Way.

CORRECTION: (Oct 25, 2022 7 p.m. ET) : A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that a person was arrested with a gun. Police clarified that a person matching the description in the report was found, but they were not arrested, and no weapon was recovered.
