A man was rushed to the hospital after a stabbing in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood early Monday morning, Boston EMS confirmed.

The stabbing occurred on Washington Street just before 4 a.m., according to Boston police. Officers initially found the victim with serious, life-threatening injuries. He was in stable condition and is expected to survive, police said in an update Monday morning.

An investigation into the stabbing is ongoing. No further information was immediately available.
