A man was arrested Thursday in North Attleborough, Massachusetts, after being shot in the arm by police following a drug investigation at a Mansfield motel.
Law enforcement says the situation began with police from North Attleborough trying to arrest the suspect in parking lot of the Red Roof Inn on Forbes Boulevard in Mansfield in connection with a drug investigation.

But a scuffle ensued, and as the suspect tried to escape, a North Attleborough officer fired one shot.
An officer was dragged as the suspect got away, but that suspect was tracked down to North Attleborough. He was found with a superficial gunshot wound to his arm.

His black BMW could be seen surrounded by crime tape.
Investigators say three North Attleborough police officers sustained injuries in the hotel parking lot as the incident unfolded, but all should make a full recovery.
"Some officers were treated for injuries when we arrived on scene," said Mansfield Police Chief Ronald Sellon.
