A man was killed in a stabbing in East Boston on Thursday, police said.
His stabbing on Shelby Street near Eagle Street was reported about 12:25 p.m., Boston police said.
The victim, whose age wasn't given, had serious and possibly life-threatening injuries, police said initially. In an update later in the day, they said the man was found in a parked vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Several streets were blocked off as investigators worked the scene. Some were focused on a black car, which was later towed from the scene wrapped in a blue tarp.

The investigation was centered on an area a half-block from where a new police station is being built.
