Home surveillance video shows a car skidding Monday as it smashes into oncoming traffic in Saugus, Massachusetts.
Police say Jeffrey Farren was drunk when he barreled down Essex Street. It was drifting feet away from Efrain Lopez Jr.
"My wife was right in front of the car and his car went right past her," said Lopez. "Right past us. We had our kids in the car and they kind of just shuddered in fear."
Farren's dog, also the car, had to be put down after receiving internal injuries from the crash.
The woman who was in the car Farren hit was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious injuries.
Monday's wreck was in the exact spot as another crash back in May that killed a grandmother.
"I've been here 20 years and I know of at least 20 accidents," said Al DiNardo, whose surveillance cameras recorded the crash.
Saugus Police said according to their records, Monday's crash was the 16th crash on Essex Street since the beginning of the year. That's an average of more than two a month.

"Sooner or later, it's going to hit one of us," said Efrain Lopez Sr.
Police said they've installed an undercover radar system and after a week of monitoring 80,000 cars, they found 4 percent of them were going 10 miles over the speed limit.
"When they come off the highway, they're coming off at a clip and they tend to maintain that as they go down the street," said Steve Doherty who lives on Essex Street.
Doughtery said he would like to see the town add raised crosswalks on their street that would also work as speed bumps.
"We shouldn't have to be worried about fatalities or major accidents in front of our home every single week, every single day," said the younger Lopez.
Police note that the crashes are happening for different reasons.
Farren is being held without bail.
