New Bedford Police ID Suspect in Veteran's Day Killing

Police have identified a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting in Massachusetts on Veteran's Day.

The Bristol district attorney's office says police are looking for 30-year-old Alexis Silva in connection with the Nov. 11 shooting in New Bedford that took the life of Reynaldo Pena.

Police responded to a report of shots fired around 2 a.m. and found Pena lying in the street.

He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 3:40 a.m.

Police say Silva faces charges including murder, unlawful discharge of a firearm and carrying an illegal firearm.

Police say he is armed and dangerous and urge the public not to approach him.

Anyone with information is asked to contact New Bedford police or the district attorney's office.
