Maine State Police are searching for a violent felon who is believed to be traveling with a woman and their 2-year-old child.
Police and state child and family services officials attempted to conduct a family safety assessment at the Hollis home of Vincent Cole and Natasha West on Sunday, but they weren't there.
Police said Cole is a felon with a violent history who has two active arrest warrants for violations of release. He is currently out on bail for aggravated assault. They said he may be armed with a firearm and recently threatened someone with the gun.
Cole is described as 5-foot-9, weighing about 175 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
West is 5-foot-8 and weighs about 140 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
Police believe the couple has their 2-year-old child with them and may be driving a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu with Maine agricultural plate #557ANW.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call Maine State Police Cpl. Doug Cropper at 207-657-3030 or 911.
