Concord School Bus Involved in Crash With Minivan While Merging Onto Route 2

There were 16 students onboard in addition to the driver, and no one was reported to be hurt

A school bus that had students onboard was involved in a crash on Friday morning in Concord, Massachusetts.

None of the students were reported to be hurt.

The bus — which was headed for the Sanborn School — was hit from behind by a minivan at around 7:40 a.m. while it was merging onto Route 2 westbound from Walden Street, according to a news release from Police Chief Thomas Mulcahy and Fire Chief Thomas Judge.

There were 16 students onboard in addition to the driver, who declined medical care, officials said. The minivan was towed from the scene, while the bus was taken to Concord-Carlisle High School. At that point, students were placed on another bus and taken to Sanborn School.
