UPDATE: Police said Tuesday that a missing woman was found safe in the woods near the shoreline.

Police in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, say a woman who was reported missing Monday morning was found Tuesday.

Authorities said the woman had last been seen in surveillance footage around 7:30 a.m. Monday near Pope Beach on Manhattan Avenue. Her disappearance was reported to police around 11:30 a.m.

A day later, police said the woman had been found alive and uninjured.
