A woman suffered life-threatening injuries in an assault in Boston's Mattapan neighborhood, according to police.
Boston Police say officers responded around 6 p.m. to Fairlawn Ave, where a woman had been wounded.
She was taken to a hospital with injuries that were considered serious and life-threatening. Later in the evening, police said her condition had been upgraded and that she was expected to survive.
