Priest Catches NH Man Stealing From Church

Police say a priest caught a man red-handed stealing from a church in Dover, New Hampshire, leading to criminal charges.

Police say 34-year-old Robert Bowman is charged with two counts of burglary.

He's accused of stealing money and gift cards from St. Joseph's Church and Rectory twice, once in June and once on Sept. 2. Bowman allegedly ran off before police arrived at the church. He was released on a personal recognizance bail after turning himself in.

The Associated Press could not find a phone number for Bowman, and it was unknown if he has a lawyer. He's due to be arraigned on Sept. 20.
