After a little more fresh snow in the mountains overnight, the weekend is shaping up to be a quiet one in most of New England.
Early Saturday sunshine will fade behind increasing clouds during the day as highs top out in the 30s and 40s. A busy west (10-20+ mph) wind will make it feel even cooler than that.
Snow showers will continue in the mountains of Northern New England.
Skies partially clear again Saturday night with lows in the 20s and 30s. It will still be breezy.
Don’t forget to “spring forward” at 2 a.m. That means sunrise will be an hour later on Sunday, around 7 a.m., but sunset will also be later (around 7 p.m.).
The wind finally settles on Sunday, with more sunshine during the day. Highs will reach the 40s for most.
Monday is still quiet, but clouds return and the wind turns back onshore 10-20 mph.

That happens as yet another storm moves up the coast towards New England.
While the center of the storm slides south and east of Nantucket, it will tap into separate energy moving through the Great Lakes. As those two weather features link up a period of snow develops in New England late Monday night into Tuesday.
Depending on the final track there may be some mixing with rain at the coast, but plows will likely be required in many cities and towns.
The snow will continue into Wednesday across Northern New England.
Fortunately tides are much lower during this next storm, so coastal flooding is not a big worry. The onshore wind, however, may result in additional erosion.
The end of next week turns more tranquil, with a brief warm up returning by St. Patrick’s Day weekend. That’s our next chance at hitting the 50s.
