Rain Won't Stop First Night Boston Performers From Putting on a Show

As the clock ticks down on 2018 and Boston gets ready to party at First Night Boston 2019, musical groups performing at the city's big event say the expected rainy weather won't put a damper on their fun.

Single by Sunday, a pop-punk group from Scotland, told NBC10 Boston that First Night will be one of the biggest shows they've ever done, so a little rain won't bother them.

The brother and sister duo from Canada known as Menage isn't intimidated by the rain either. They say performing a New Year's Eve show has been on their bucket list.

City officials, meanwhile, are reminding people that there will be many parking restrictions as a result of the event and are encouraging attendees to take the MBTA.

First Night will include several performances throughout the day and evening, ice sculptures, and an opportunity for some local charities to have their time in the spotlight. NBC10 Boston, Telemundo Boston and necn will have live coverage throughout the event.
