Rainy, Windy Sunday as Unsettled Weather Takes Us to Halloween

Most of New England needs the rain since we’ve been fairly dry this fall

What was tropical storm Olga, if you blinked you missed it, is now moving through the Ohio River Valley. Heavy rain, gusty winds and severe weather are leaving a mark all the way through the Great Lakes. The remnants of Olga hook a right and move through New England during the day today.

Winds won’t be overly strong and we aren’t expecting severe weather locally, but a solid 0.5” to 1.5” of rain is expected. Most of New England needs the rain since we’ve been fairly dry this fall.

This week looks fairly unsettled. We will see on-and-off shower chances pretty much every day.

Temperatures will warm back into the 60s for a few days this week. Right now, it looks like we’ll be in the 60s Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Thursday is Halloween and it looks like we will see some wet weather, but it will be fairly mild. Last year it was cool, but dry for Halloween. It’s tough to get a really nice Halloween around these parts.

The good news is that we will see a nice weekend coming up, as I write this on Saturday! If you’re already thinking ahead to next Saturday and Sunday, the days look nice, but cool.

Remember we end Daylight Saving Time next weekend. Good news, we gain an hour of sleep. Bad news, we lose an hour of daylight during the afternoon.
