Suspect in Fatal Randolph Shooting in Custody

Justin Gaston, 32, is accused of fatally shooting a man Monday night

A Massachusetts man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in Randolph Monday night has been taken into custody in Lynn.

Authorities said Justin Gaston, 32, surrendered to numerous state and local police units. He was taken into custody without incident.

Haki Sanders, 33, of Randolph, was shot Monday night at his home on 27 Petipas Lane, according to the Norfolk District Attorney's Office.

Authorities had been searching for Gaston of Randolph and Brockton, since the shooting took place. Police say the suspect and victim were known to each other and they believe the attack was targeted.

A medical examiner left the scene at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Gaston was known to sometimes reside at 27 Petipas Lane, where the apparent homicide took place.

"This was a coordinated effort, leading to his capture without incident," said Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey.

Gaston is expected to be arraigned on a murder warrant Wednesday in Quincy District Court.
