Stop. Drop. Help out a family that's back-to-school shopping. Apparently, that's how DMX rolls.
The rapper, born Earl Simmons, was at Maine Mall in South Portland over the weekend when he began talking to Nikki Cutchens, who was shopping with her two daughters, the Bangor Daily News reported. When she told him that they were back-to-school shopping, he offered to pay.
"I told him, 'Oh, I can’t let you do that,' and he told me he’d been blessed in his life as a rapper and a performing artist, and he wanted to bless us, too," Cutchens told the paper.

"I said 'Thank you so much' and asked him what his name was, and he said 'DMX' and then my jaw dropped."
DMX was in Portland to perform at a concert as a last-minute replacement for Wiz Khalifa.
