
U.S. Marshals have captured a man who was wanted on kidnapping and threatening charges in Maine.
Peter M. Curtis faces charges in connection with an abduction case out of Brentwood, New Hampshire, the local police department said. He reportedly used a gun during the abduction.

The victim was not hurt and has returned home safely.
Curtis faces arrest warrants charging him with kidnapping, criminal threatening with a deadly weapon and probation violations.

Curtis was found in Portland, Maine, Monday morning. U.S. Marshals said he was driving a stolen vehicle at the time and crashed it. He was taken to the hospital and later transported to to the Cumberland County Jail. he will be held as a fugitive from justice on the New Hampshire charges. He also faces a probation violation warrant out of Maine, and will likely face charges for the events in Portland.
U.S. Marshals said they received multiple tips about the case after offering a reward of up to $1,500 for information in the case. They will review the information received to see if anyone is eligible to receive the reward.
