Rhode Island Man To Face 3 Counts of Assault On Disabled Person in Massachusetts

Police say Andre Scott allegedly assaulted three residents at the Judge Rotenberg Center group home in Norton

A Rhode Island man is facing charges in Norton, Massachusetts, on three counts of assault and battery on a disabled person.

Norton police said following an investigation, it was discovered that Andre Scott, 25, of North Providence, assaulted three residents at the Judge Rotenberg Center group home, where Scott was an employee.

The alleged assault took place in August.

An arrest warrant was issued for Scott after he failed to appear in court on Friday.

Police later arrested him in Rhode Island on Saturday morning.

Scott is expected to appear in court in Rhode Island on Tuesday and will face rendition to Massachusetts on charges of assault and battery.
