Robbery Suspect Due in New Hampshire Court After Woman Tossed Off Moving Car

A robbery suspect is due in a New Hampshire courtroom on Thursday, days after his alleged victim was thrown off his vehicle in Seabrook.

Freddy Poisson, 40, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, is scheduled to face charges of robbery and reckless conduct in Rockingham Superior Court in Brentwood.

Police said Poisson was taken into custody on Tuesday in Amesbury, Massachusetts, and was held as a fugitive from justice.

The arrest comes after police say he robbed a woman at the Southgate Plaza in Seabrook Friday night as she was loading groceries into her car. Authorities said the two got into a physical altercation and Poisson ran to his vehicle to try to get away. Police said Poisson punched the victim in the face.

The woman, who has not been identified, grabbed hold of Poisson's door in an attempt to stop him, but she was tossed off after the car sped up around a corner. She was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

Police said Poisson had been seen at a CVS on Monday, allegedly using the victim's credit card.

It's unclear if Poisson has an attorney to represent him at his arraignment on Thursday.
