A rock painted for National Coming Out Day at Andover High School was found vandalized Saturday morning, Andover Public Schools announced in a statement Sunday.
Students were given permission to paint the rock Friday to celebrate National Coming Out Day, officials said.
After the vandalism was discovered Saturday morning, the high school's facilities department quickly painted over the vandalism. The school's Gender Sexuality Alliance, along with members of the community, repainted the rock that afternoon, school officials said.
