Scattered Storms and Showers Move Into Region Thursday Night

Scattered storms and showers will continue to trek east through the North Country, while southern New England remains mostly rain-free. A spot shower or pop-up storm is still possible along and north of the Massachusetts Turnpike through sunset.

There are severe storms across upstate New York that will move into western New England tonight. As these storms head east, they will weaken and dissipate as they move toward the coastline overnight.

Friday brings us a drier day with low humidity thanks to a west wind. That downsloping wind will bring warm temperatures all the way to the coast tomorrow afternoon despite the dry and cooler airmass. A high terrain pop-up shower is possible Friday afternoon.

Saturday will be dry south, spotty storms and showers north in the heat of the afternoon as a system moves through and highs in the 70s. Cooler air will be reinforced Saturday night with some chilly lows in the 50s.

Sunday will be all dry and sunny with highs in the upper 70s.

We don’t have any major warm-ups in the 10-day forecast. Dry weather prevails through Monday, then scattered storms return Tuesday into Wednesday.
