Second Teenager Involved in Needham Pedestrian Crash Dies From Injuries

A second teenager who was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle in Needham, Massachusetts has died from her injuries, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney.

Seventeen-year-old Needham High School student Adrienne Garrido was taken to a Boston hospital following the Saturday night crash and then died Sunday from her injuries.

Another 16-year-old, Talia Newfield of Needham, had died at the hospital Saturday following the crash.

The crash happened in the area of Webster and Holland Streets in Needham Saturday night.

There are no charges at this time, though the incident remains under investigation by the Needham Police Department, the CARS unit of the Massachusetts State Police and the Norfolk District Attorney's office.

The cafeteria at Needham High School, where both teens were students, was open to students for a few hours on Sunday to allow them to talk to counselors and each other.

Counselors and other support and resources will be made available to students throughout the week.
