A New York-based group of burger and shake spots is expanding further into the Boston area, with one now being planned for a new development just west of the city.
Eater Boston is reporting that Shake Shack is going to be opening a new outlet in Watertown, moving into the upcoming Arsenal Yards complex along Arsenal Street near the Charles River. Once it opens, the new location will join others in Boston's Seaport District and Back Bay along with outlets in Cambridge's Harvard Square, The Street Chestnut Hill, and Legacy Place in Dedham.
Arsenal Yards will be a mixed-use development located at the site of the old Arsenal Mall, with the complex including retail, office, and residential space; it looks like much or all of the project will be finished by 2020, which is when Shake Shack would presumably open.
