A 21-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were shot overnight on Cedar Street in Lynn, Massachusetts.
Lynn police said both victims were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Footage from the scene showed shell casings on the ground and bullet holes in a nearby car.
"I heard what sounded like shots being fired. Or like an engine of car popping," one witness told NBC10 Boston and NECN.

The circumstances of what happened are unclear. But neighbors tell us they heard the gun shots and watched as investigators gathered evidence and helped the victims into ambulances. A vehicle parked on the street was hit by gunfire and eventually towed away as part of the investigation.
No arrests have been made. An investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Police are expected to give an update again Thursday with additional information. No further information was immediately available.
