Spot Showers Threaten Overall Pleasant Weekend

Morning clouds and showers on Friday are pulling away, allowing for sunshine to return from north to south over the course of the day. The Cape and the Islands will be last to see some sunshine. At the same time drier, less humid air continues to flow in.

Temperatures will be in the 70s to near 80 degrees as these take place.

Overnight expect mostly clear skies with chilly lows in the 40s and 50s in Northern New England and 50s and 60s in Southern New England.

Saturday is the pick of the weekend with lots of sunshine and highs in the 70s. It will be a little breezy at the coast.

Sunday brings a few extra clouds and perhaps even a spot shower. The vast majority of the day will be dry, but the best chance of a quick shower would be in southeastern Massachusetts.

It will be windy and cool at the coast thanks to an onshore wind, with highs in the 60s. Inland, we’ll climb into the 70s still.

Monday is similar with a mixture of sun and clouds, a spot shower, and highs in the 60s to around 70.

Around mid-week we’ll watch two systems. A front will slowly be approaching from the west, and we’ll watch an area of low pressure spinning south of Nantucket.
