Streak of Sunny Conditions Ending With Return of Wet Weather

We get to enjoy one more mainly dry day on Monday before soggy weather returns. It’s possible that parts of western New England could see a few showers by the late afternoon or evening on Tuesday.

Steady, locally heavy rain will arrive on Tuesday. A couple of rumbles of thunder will be possible in the heaviest downpours. At this point, up to an inch of rain is likely. Steady rain will taper to showers by the afternoon.

Wednesday is our bright spot of the week. Skies will be sunny and temperatures will reach the mid-70s.

On Thursday, another round of rain will move in. Some of the forecast models are hinting at slightly lower totals, but another half inch to inch of rain is likely. This storm system will be a slow mover so it’s possible that showers could stick around into the day on Friday.

By Friday afternoon, high pressure will build in once again. Showers will end, skies will clear and temperatures will jump back into the mid-70s after the cool, cloudy, rainy day on Thursday.

The weekend is looking nicer. Saturday still looks to be the pick with sun filled skies and temperatures in the mid-70s. Sunday looks warmer with high temperatures near 80 degrees, but we could see a shower during the afternoon.

There is a better chance for showers the following week. Temperatures should remain steady in the mid-70s.
