New England

Bright, Brisk Sunday for St. Patrick's Day Parades

St. Patrick’s Day is also sunny, but cooler still, with highs in the 30s to near 40

Temperatures soared to as high as 70 degrees on Friday, but this weekend brings winds of change.

Gusty west winds on Saturday will slowly usher in cooler air across New England, keeping our highs in the 40s to near 50 for most. We’ll enjoy a lot of sunshine, except for in the mountains where clouds will be more widespread, and there will even be some snow showers.

Skies clear overnight Saturday, with lows in the 20s and 30s, and winds will slowly diminish.

St. Patrick’s Day is also sunny, but cooler still, with highs in the 30s to near 40.

The cool weather will last into next week as well, with similar conditions Monday and Tuesday.

Aside from an isolated rain or snow shower on Monday, as a weak area of low pressure skims to the south, we’ll also stay tranquil.

Temperatures start to rebound Wednesday, as spring begins, with 40s for most.

Thursday spikes closer to 50 before a cold front comes in Thursday night with some rain showers.

After that temperatures should stay close to, or a bit below, average.
