Beautiful Weather for Patriots Game

A Sunday beauty over much of New England, though a few clouds and a spot shower will develop over the mountains due to a weak disturbance moving over the region.

Highs will be in the 70s South, 60s North. The Patriots season opener is tonight at Gillette Stadium and we couldn’t ask for better weather. Mid-60s at kick-off with the temperature dropping into the 50s at game’s end. High pressure moves into the region tonight and under clear skies with a light breeze, lows will drop into the 30s and 40s north, 40s and 50s south.

Our week starts off with two nice days. Both Monday and Tuesday will see a blend of clouds and sun, but as high pressure moves to our north, this will bring in a breeze from the ocean keeping highs in the 60s near the coast to low 70s inland.

By Wednesday, a warm front will allow our temperatures to rise well into the 70s and that’s when our weather turns unsettled. A chance for scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm is in the forecast until midday Thursday with decreasing clouds expected Thursday evening and cooler air filtering in behind the front. Highs on Friday will be mainly in the 60s under a mostly sunny sky.

As of right now, our First Alert 10-Day Forecast shows the slight chance for showers next weekend with a disturbance moving in from the Great Lakes and the possibility of warmer weather to begin the third week of September.
