Suspect Charged With Attempting to Frame NH Man for Child Porn

A Salem, New Hampshire man is facing multiple charges after police said he attempted to frame a Manchester resident for child porn.

Kenyoun Gifford, 35, is charged with possession of child sexual images, burglary, criminal mischief and false report to law enforcement.

Manchester police said they received an anonymous tip on April 12 about a resident on Winter Street. The unknown caller suggested that a sex offender lived in the apartment and was in grave danger.

Responding officers found the letters "P-E-D-O" spray painted on the door of the apartment. Once inside, they located multiple images of child pornography strewn about the apartment, including in the resident's bedroom.

The tenant was not home at the time, but police were able to track him down at work and explain the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the images. The victim identified someone he believed might have been setting him up, so the investigation continued.

That investigation ultimately led to the arrest of Gifford. Police allege that he broke into the victim's home in April after spray painting his door and left multiple child porn images inside as a retaliatory measure.

Gifford turned himself in to police on June 30 and was arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court on Monday. No information about his bail was released.
