One adult and a teenager were arrested Thursday following an investigation that prompted a SWAT team response at a home in Maynard, Massachusetts.
Local and state police as well as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives responded to a home on Acton Court at 7:15 a.m. to serve a high-risk warrant. A SWAT team was called in when police said an investigation led them to believe firearms were inside the home.
Two men, an adult and a 16-year-old, were eventually taken into custody just before 1 p.m.
One firearm was recovered during the investigation.
Neighbor Christina Mora said she watched the whole incident unfold.
"The huge sniper rifle with a silencer on it, said Mora, describing the weapon authorities seized. "We just don’t see stuff like that around here."
No injuries were reported.
