Target's Newest Small-Format Store to Hire Team Members for Roslindale

Target's newest small-format store in the Boston area will begin hiring team members for its new location in the city's Roslindale neighborhood.

The store, located on Washington Street at Roslindale Village, is set to open in March.

The company plans to hire approximately 50 employees.

"We are building the best team in retail and looking for talented and friendly candidates to join us," said Kerome Coley, Target store team leader. "Our Roslindale store has been designed for the diverse community and provides a convienent one-stop-shop with a curated assortment of products and everyday essentials."

The store will carry apparel and accessories for women, men and kids, groceries — including fresh produce and grab-and-go items, toys and sporting goods, home items, beauty, health, personal care products and baby care items, and a selection of entertainment and electronics products.

The Roslindale location will be Target’s 30th in the Boston area, following a recent store opening in Stoneham.

A statement from the company says, "Target has prioritized opening small-format stores to serve guests in urban areas and dense suburban neighborhoods with assortments that are tailored to meet the needs of local guests."

Small-format stores will also open this year in the Porter Square neighborhood in Cambridge and in Burlington.
