A New York-based group of shops featuring bubble tea, smoothies, and juices has opened its third Boston-area location--and its first within the city itself.
According to a Twitter post from @ConciergeBoston, TBaar is now open in Chinatown, moving into a space on Kneeland Street that had been home to Beantown Juice and Tea. The new outlet joins locations in Quincy Center and Brookline (near the Boston line), and while another outlet had also been planned for Mass. Ave. in Cambridge, those plans apparently never materialized.
The website for the business says that TBaar was established in 2006, opening its first shop in Brooklyn that year; it now has more than 20 locations mostly along the East Coast, though shops can also be found in California, Colorado, Illinois, Nevada, and Texas.
