2 Killed on Violent Day in Boston

The stabbing occurred on Thursday morning

Two young people are dead amid a day of violence in Boston Thursday.

An 18-year-old was stabbed to death in Roxbury. Police responded around 9:50 a.m. to 55 Warren St. The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center, but succumbed to his injuries.

Police announced around 8 p.m. that a 15-year-old had been arrested in connection to that death.

The names of the victim and the suspect have not been released.

In neighboring Dorchester, police responded to three separate shootings Thursday. In the latest one, on Blue Hill Avenue near Cheney Street and Schuyler Street, a victim between 18 and 20 was taken to a hospital, but later died from his wounds. A 14-year-old boy also sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Another shooting happened shortly after midnight, and another around 11 a.m. One person was seriously injured in the first shooting and one person suffered non-life threatening injuries in the mid-morning shooting.
