This Is the Best Sandwich in Massachusetts, According to a New Report

And the winner is...

The Daily Meal has named the best sandwich in every state, and the Spuckie at Cutty's in Brookline Village is their choice for Massachusetts.

The 18-seat sandwich shop has been around since 2010, and is pretty well known in these parts. Their meats are all-natural and are roasted on site. Eggs and dairy come from local farms, and their chips, salads, pickles, sauces and more are made in-house.

Owners Rachel and Charles Kelsey trained at the famed Culinary Institute of America and have 40 years of combined cooking experience, their website says. They met, fell in love, and got married while working at America’s Test Kitchen, where they were editors/test cooks for five years before opening Cutty’s.

For those who haven't been there, you might be wondering what exactly is in a Spuckie. It's a combination of fennel salami, hot capicola, mortadella, mozarella and olive-carrot salad on ciabatta. A small one will run you $5.95, while a large is $10.95.
