Trattoria Orsini in Salem Has Closed; Antique Table May Be Moving Into Space

A short-lived Italian restaurant on the North Shore has shut down, and it looks like a pair of Italian eateries may be expanding into the space.

According to several sources, Trattoria Orsini in Salem is no longer in business, with a Facebook post on the North Shore Eats page indicating that Sunday may have been its last day. A few sources have said that Antique Table--which has locations in Lynn and Winthrop--plans to open in the Congress Street space (the Facebook post also mentions this), though this has not been completely confirmed as of yet.

Trattoria Orsini first opened last July, moving into the space where Grapevine had been for more than 15 years; the restaurant offered such items as grilled octopus, arancini, linguine with clams, bolognese, veal piccata, and parmesan-crusted chicken breast.

The address for the now-closed Orsini was 26 Congress Street, Salem, MA, 01970.
