A large tree fell on a car in Brookline, Massachusetts, early Sunday morning.
Brookline Police say someone was driving the vehicle on Beacon Street when the tree came down.
The motorist survived and was transported to a local hospital. That person's condition is unknown.
The tree likely fell due to a combination of saturated soil and strong, gusty winds, according to necn Meteorologist Michael Page. Winds caused pockets of tree damage and power outages on Sunday, as over one inch of rain fell across New England.
