Vandals have damaged and destroyed sculptures which were part of a presentation in a park in Worcester, Massachusetts, police confirm.

The 28-piece "Art in the Park" exhibit at Elm Park was mostly installed last week and officials say the vandalism happened sometime Saturday night.

Six of the pieces were damaged, including an upright bamboo sculpture, and 26 are still on display.

According to the Worcester Telegram, the city manager says temporary cameras will be put in the area and patrols will increase.
