Kemoni Miller, the victim of a robbery who was dragged by a car on Nov. 16 Boston, has died from injuries he sustained in the incident.
Now the two men who allegedly caused the injuries, Dejon Barnes and Kenneth Ford, are facing murder charges. The men were previously charged with unarmed robbery.
Miller, 18, was planning on selling his iPhone to Barnes. He went to meet with Barnes, 18, and Ford, 23, on Gallivan Boulevard, when they allegedly grabbed the phone from Miller and closed the window on his arm. They proceeded to allegedly drag Miller for about half a mile, causing him to sustain a life-threatening head injury.
Miller was transported to Boston Medical Center, but never regained consciousness.
Barnes and Ford were arraigned on Nov. 19 on their original charges and were being held on $100,000 cash bail. Their arraignments for murder charges have not yet been scheduled, but they are scheduled to be back in court on Dec. 4.
