Mostly Clear Start to Week, Storms Likely Mid-Week

For so many around New England, the weekend will end on a beautiful note with a mixture of sun and clouds and highs around 80. Humidity will steadily fall over the course of the day as a cold front slides through New England.

That front will trigger a spot shower, downpour, or thunderstorm this afternoon, however. The best chance of that is across Southeastern Massachusetts.

Overnight any downpours and storms will fade, and skies will clear. Humidity will drop so it becomes more refreshing.

This is the last 8 PM sunset of the season, so enjoy it!

Monday will be spectacular. Expect sunshine with highs around 80 at the coast, and in the 80s inland.

It turns more humid again on Tuesday as winds turn to the south. We’ll still enjoy sunshine, but clouds will bubble up and eventually a few storms will pop up during the afternoon, mainly west of Boston.

A series of fronts will cross the area Wednesday and Thursday, meaning more numerous rounds of downpours and storms. Neither day will be a total washout, but the rain will be much more widespread than what we’ve seen in past days.

Skies look to clear on Friday, just in time for next weekend. That looks mostly dry at this point, with perhaps a few spot showers or storms in the mountains, with temperatures in the 70s to around 80 degrees.
