Warmest Day of The Week Comes With Chance of Showers

It won't rain all day Friday, but it will rain enough that you should remember to grab your umbrella

Despite a fair amount of clouds both Thursday and Friday, mild temperatures will make it feel like spring!

Highs on Thursday will climb into the 40s to near 50, with a southerly wind steadily picking up during the afternoon and evening.

Friday will be even warmer, with highs in the 50s to around 60. The catch on Friday is that we’ll also have some occasional rain showers. It won’t be raining all day, but it will be enough to warrant an umbrella at times.

Winds will also be gusty, out of the south. That’s what will send in the warmth. Expect gusts 30 to 40 mph, with some reaching 40 to 50 mph in southeastern Massachusetts.

A cold front sweeps through Friday night, dropping temperatures this weekend.

We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds on Saturday with highs in the 40s to near 50. A weak disturbance pivoting through Northern New England may trigger a few snow showers over the mountains there.

Sunday is even cooler, but brighter. Highs will be in the 30s to around 40, so St. Patrick’s Day will be on the chilly side.

We’ll hold in the 40s for much of next week, and we’ll have to watch a few weak disturbances. One may provide a few light rain or snow showers Monday, and another may do the same during the middle of the week.
