Water Tanker Used to Douse Difficult Fire on Cape Cod

Fire crews were concerned about the blaze since oil was being stored nearby

Firefighters used a water tanker to combat a difficult to reach 3-alarm fire on the Cape on Sunday night, according to officials.

The garage fire was reported at approximately 11:30 p.m. at an excavation company on Route 6 in Wellfleet, the town's fire department said. Firefighters were concerned about the blaze since oil was being contained nearby.

Since the structure was on a hill, crews had difficulty getting access to water and used a water tanker as a resource.

No injuries were reported in the blaze.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
