Watertown Police Respond to Increased Calls of Overdoses

The Watertown Police Department announced on their Facebook and Twitter pages of increased response calls of narcotic overdoses within the past 12 hours.

The police department urged family members and friends of those struggling with an addiction to check on their loved ones immediately.

"We wanted to give knowledge to our followers and our community that if they know someone who is struggling to please call us," said Lieutenant James O'Connor of the Watertown Police Department. "We wanted to get the word out that by checking in on their loved one, it could prevent another overdose."

The incidents that occured within the past 12 hours are still under investigation. 

Watertown Police added in their social media posts to call the department at (617) 972-6500 if help or support is needed.
