Caught in Dot: Happening the Week of June 11

Lace up those sneakers!  We can’t think of a better way to kick off Father’s Day than by participating in the McKeon Post Father’s Day Road Race.  On Sunday, June 17th at 10am join the McKeon post for a 5K walk or 5K run.  Enjoy a post race cookout immediately after! Pre-registration $25, race day registration is $30. You can register here!

Go wild!  The Franklin Park Zoo is offering free admission for all dads on Sunday, June 17th Father’s Day! The zoo is home to kangaroos, zebras, giraffes and more! Speaking of giraffes, Savannah the giraffe (a zoo favorite) is back with a new addition: Chad, a 2-year-old male Masai giraffe. Make a plan to visit them this weekend!  There’s also a new dinosaur exhibit happening through September!

Get a job!  Upham’s Corner Health Center is hosting a Job Fair on Wednesday, June 13th from 1pm-3pm.  There are many open positions!

Save the Date!  The beautiful neighborhood of Port Norfolk will be highlighted in a free public touch along the Boston HarborWalk on Saturday, June 23rd.  Enjoy the two-hour, 1.75-mile walking tour along the mouth of the Neponset River.  It begins at 10am and participants should meet in front of Venezia Restaurant at 20 Ericsson Street.

Self care! Oh boy!  Have you looked in the mirror lately and thought, “I could use a refresh?”  Whether you’re pushing 30 or 60, we all want to look our absolute best.  Not necessarily younger, just youthful!  Like you’ve had a week of good sleep!  Skin Rx Boston is Boston’s exclusive cosmetic injectable boutique and it’s located right here in Dorchester! Specializing in Botox® Cosmetic, Dermal Fillers, Kybella®, Chemical Peels, and Clinical Skin Care, Maria Gagliardi – a full time Aesthetic Nurse Specialist – will help you to look your best! Give her a call for a consultation! Learn more here!
