Who Is Kidnapping Suspect Louis Coleman?

The man charged in the kidnapping of Jassy Correia, who authorities said was found dead in his car, holds a master's degree in physics and created a mobile app for insomnia patients, according to his personal website and public records.

Thirty-two-year-old Louis D. Coleman was taken into custody in Delaware Thursday. His charges include kidnapping and mutilating a body. Authorities said her body was found in Coleman's trunk.

Coleman graduated from California State University in Long Beach in 2016, according to his website.

He was employed by the Waltham-based defense contractor Raytheon, but the company wouldn't say where he worked or provide details about his job description.

"As this is a criminal investigation, we defer any further inquiries to law enforcement. We are fully cooperating with the investigation," the company said in a statement.

Coleman lived in the Los Angeles area for several years, with an address there listed in his name as recently as 2017.
