Woman Assaulted WIth Umbrella in Dunkin' Donuts Drive-Thru

Police are searching for two suspects after a woman was punched and assaulted with an umbrella while waiting in her car at a Dunkin' Donuts drive-thru in Worcester on Wednesday afternoon.

Worcester police were called to the Dunkin' Donuts at 211 Chandler St. around 4 p.m. for a report of an assault. The 31-year-old female victim told police she was in her vehicle in the drive-thru line when she suddenly heard a banging noise coming from the rear passenger side of the vehicle. She saw a man and a woman standing near her car, and the man was hitting her car with an umbrella.

The victim said she exited her car and told them to stop hitting her car. The man then approached her and swung the umbrella at her, leaving a 3- to 4-inch laceration on her chin. The woman then began to punch the victim in the head.

The victim got back into her car and drove away from the scene, stopping to call police once she was a safe distance away. She was later treated for her injuries at a nearby hospital.

Several officers arrived at the scene and searched the immediate area, but were unable to locate the suspects.

The male suspect was described as being in his early 20s, about 5-foot-7, with short, curly hair. He was wearing jean shorts and a red shirt.

The female suspect was described as being in her early 20s, about 5-foot-6, with curly hair in a bun. She was wearing a head band and a gray shirt.
