A woman critically injured in a hit-and-run crash in Westport, Massachusetts last week has died, according to her family.

Stephanie Tripp, 30, of Fall River, was hit by a car on May 7 on Old Bedford Road, according to authorities. Police received a call about the crash around 8:15 p.m. and responded to the scene, where they found Tripp lying facedown in the breakdown lane.

She was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in critical condition. Her family told NBC10 Boston on Thursday that Tripp succumbed to her injuries around midnight.
