Worcester Police Investigating Stabbing of 60-Year-Old Victim

Authorities in Worcester, Massachusetts, are looking for a suspect after a 60-year-old man was stabbed.

Police say officers responded to the city's RMV office just before 11:30 a.m. Friday for a report of a stabbing. When they arrived, they found the 60-year-old victim sitting on a windowsill of the RMV while his forearm was bleeding.

Although the victim did not cooperate with officers before he was taken to a local hospital by an ambulance, witnesses told detectives they noticed a dispute between the victim and a younger male on Main Street.

The suspect chased the victim across Main Street, appearing as if he were trying to punch his back, witnesses told police detectives, but they later realized the victim was being stabbed in the back and in the hand.

The suspect, who fled on foot, is described as having long, light-brown hair.

The victim suffered minor stab wounds to his hand and back, and the injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Anyone with information regarding this stabbing is asked to call police at 508-799-8651.
