Two workers were rescued Thursday afternoon from a platform hanging from a Boston skyscraper.
The Boston Fire Department said it was working to rescue two window washers who were outside the 42nd floor of a Sudbury Street building.

NBC10 Boston's SkyRanger helicopter was over the scene. Crews could be seen opening a window from the inside of the building and ultimately getting the workers to safety.
"Things happen," Boston Fire District Chief Brian Tully said. "Maybe a pulley or something was out of line and they just ended up at an angled situation."

Tully explained the difficulty crews had getting the workers off of the platform.
"If they were a little bit lower, we may have been able to use one of our tower ladders, and we would have maybe chose that," he said.
