Have plenty of vacation days saved up, but can't seem to tear yourself away for fear of work piling up or a boss who'd be cranky if you went MIA?
That's the American norm, NBC News reports, based on a recent study of thousands of employees, 54 percent of whom ended last year with unused vacation time.
That would mean Americans left 662 million vacation days on the table in 2016.

"The biggest concern is workload, which is exacerbated by the fact that when you do take time off, you can see the work piling up in real-time on your phone," explained the study's author, Katie Denis.
